6 staging tips for Stunning photography

01 Clear Surfaces

Spaces tend to look bigger when there is less clutter. Clear-off your kitchen counter tops, move appliances into cabinets. Hide chargers, and devices that clutter.

02 Pillows & Linen

A room will look tidy if the couch pillows are fluffed, the bed linen is wrinkle free and straightened. This really sells comfort and "I can live here"! I mean go for it whether it's a karate chop or fluff for the pillows. (we'll cover the differences in another post!)

03 Kitchen Attention

The kitchen is the heart of the home. You've heard this before, and paying attention to your kitchen is essential. Wipe down any water marks in the sink, your appliances and stainless steel. This will make your kitchen sparkle.

04 Less is More

Stash any extra clutter on the floor away in closets or hallways that won’t be photographed. Hide: games, magazines, laundry, any nic-nacs. The less out, the more open and airy the space will appear. This leaves for the eye to wonder and appreciate the home and space, NO distractions!

05 Hide Personal Items

Family photos, kid toys, baby items or even dog accessories, hide them in closets. The goal is to create a neutral setting. You want someone without a dog - or without kids - to also envision themselves in the space and not get distracted by these items they don’t relate with.

06 Deep Clean

Investing in a deep clean will make a world of a difference! Hopefully throughout staging, listing, and showing you’ll only need to have it cleaned once or twice. Shiny sparking floors, and cleaned windows bring in more light. It will be worth every penny!
